Time to Design

/ / Real Weddings

Erin and Matt, our Bridal Idol contest winners, are less than seven weeks away from their wedding day.  So its time to start making some decisions about what this wedding will look like.  In our initial meeting, I gathered information about the couple’s tastes and preferences.  And I was surprised to find out that despite their young rock and roll look, they have a traditional and very romantic vision for their wedding.  A lover of all things Disney, Erin and Matt are inspired by the idea of princesses and fairy tale romance.  They are also great lovers of saturated color, flowers and shiny things.

large_imageFor a lot of couples, it can be difficult to come up with an overall design for a wedding, but within minutes of me broaching the topic, we had a clear direction for this wedding.  For color, there is one word – PINK.  Flowers, linens and accessories will be in all shades of pink from bright to pale.  Centerpieces with be tall, lush, with enough pink and bling suitable for a princess.  Mixed metallic and crystal accents together with a sea of candlelight will create an uber-romantic ambiance for Erin, Matt and all of their guests.

Today we will head to Ambiance Florals & Events to meet with Michele Peters who will create the custom floral designs that will bring this vision to life.  Then it is onto Scott Kretschmann Photography to plan the engagement shoot and wedding photos with Scott and Lisa.  And capturing it all on film will be the lovely Cheryl Lighthall of CASL Productions.  So keep your eye out for a video recap of the day’s planning activities coming soon . . .
